A FRAMEWORK FOR THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION JOURNEY.

Communication Service Providers (CSPs) are in the midst of a digital revolution. They will have to quickly rethink their approach to transformation to drive web-scale efficiencies, co-innovate or collaborate with technology innovators to rapidly identify new sources of revenue. This change will not only entail processes, people, technology and operating models but would also permeate across the department boundaries within the Telco organisation as well as the associated ecosystem of partners, vendors and eventually the customers.

Tata Communications Transformation Services (TCTS) in consultation with OVUM Consulting has launched a Digital Transformation Roadmap for CSPs that will help revisit and discuss unique transformation priorities for Telcos and plan an indicative framework for transformation with more efficient execution that de-risks their transformation journey.

The TCTS transformation framework identifies and outlines transformation priorities across,

  • Network technologies and Network management systems
  • Digital support systems (OSS/BSS)
  • Business process systems
  • Functions and business-led tasks for CSPs
The transformation priorities are laid out based on extensive research conducted across 60 CSPs’ globally and helps identify the key short-term, mid-term and longer term priorities for each Telco segment.
